This is a free-size boubou gown with very wide bell sleeves. Chest width is the full sweep of the garment across its widest point, not a body measurement, which is why the number is large. Body length is shoulder to hem.

How to measure

Measure over light clothing with a soft tape. Keep the tape level and snug, never tight. Ask someone to help if you can.

Women

Bust not your bra size: Wear an unpadded bra, relax your arms at your sides, and pull the tape across the fullest part of the bust. Many of our gowns have a built-in bra.
Waist the smallest part: Find the narrowest part of your torso, usually about an inch above the belly button. Keep the tape slightly loose so you can breathe.
Hips the widest part: Find the widest part of your hips, usually about seven inches below the natural waist. The tape should brush across both hipbones.
Hollow to floor gowns and long dresses: Stand straight with your feet together, in bare feet. Start at the hollow between your collarbones and pull the tape straight down to the floor.
Height: Stand straight in bare feet and measure from the top of your head straight down to the floor.

Men

Chest: Pull the tape across the fullest part of the chest, under the arms, and keep it level all the way round your back.
Shoulder seam to seam: Measure across the back, from one shoulder point to the other.
Sleeve: From the shoulder point down to the wrist.
Top length agbada, kaftan and senator sets: From the shoulder point down to where you want the hem to fall.
Trouser length: From the waistband down to the ankle.

Wearing heels? On custom-sized floor-length dresses and dresses with a train we add 5 cm for heels.

If you fall between two sizes on the chart, take the larger one - a tailor can take a garment in, but cannot let one out.

How do I choose my size?

Open the size guide on this page. Where the maker has given us a measurement chart we publish it in full, in inches and centimetres. Where they have not, the guide shows you how to measure yourself and you can email info@arinze.store with your measurements and we will advise. Measurements are taken flat by the supplier, so allow a 3-4 cm difference. If you are between sizes on a fitted piece, take the larger one.

Can I return or exchange it?

Yes - request a return within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, unworn and unwashed, free of odours, stains or makeup, in original packaging with tags intact, with your order number. We accept exchanges for a different size, colour or style subject to inventory. Return shipping is covered by us where the return is the result of our error; otherwise it is yours. What cannot be returned?

Final sale unless they arrive defective or incorrect: opened beauty, skincare or personal-care products; intimate apparel and earrings for pierced ears; custom, personalised or made-to-order items; perishable goods; and clearance items. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method, typically within 5-10 business days.
